Quiet little hotel in a cozy position in the region. Location very close to Inn cycle route, a good beer garden for evening meals, and the town square...

The rooms here are awesome, they are quite spacious and come with a cozy sofa and a super comfy bed. 🛋️ the location is great and the staff are super nice. Plus, there's a public library just 3 miles away - pretty convenient if you're a bookworm! .

I was greeted by name as I parked the car and was advised to turn around, as the police could be a bit sticky about parked cars facing in the wrong direction. A good start, but things went downhill after that...
The room was rather small and, although the hotel claims to have been "newly renovated", the only sign of that in the room was cheap "parquet" and a small flat-screen tv with snowy reception. Tatty, old (not antique!) furniture, holes in the bedsheets, cobwebs (though the room was otherwise clean), a poorly finished, dingy shower room with 1970/80 "colour" scheme, no soap (or anything else). Throughout the floor only every second light bulb worked! Breakfast: dishwater-weak coffee, nasty orange juice, slices of cheese and sausage cut into half, and sometimes into quarters - never seen that before! As a confirmed Germanophile, I have stayed in dozens of hotels in Germany - I love the place and I love the service visitors receive. The price of this hotel was towards the upper end of what I usually pay; however the value for money is the worst I have ever come across in Germany. Perhaps the curse of the border town? In fairness, the whole dismal impression was possibly accentuated by the fact that I had stayed the previous night in a wonderful (and substantially cheaper) place with a truly excellent breakfast. The lack of soap is particularly ironic, as the hotel is next to a building with a mural explaining that the Germans/Teutons invented soap...

Fantastic little hotel in the old part of Simbach, a very cute town with mostly pre-war architecture. Very friendly and helpful staff: a mother, father, son operation for 45 years! Good food at low prices.
Bring your own soap and shampoo, but you can ask for it :)

I recently stayed at a charming family-owned hotel in a central location. The owner and staff were incredibly helpful and made my stay comfortable. The hotel is situated right in the middle of everything you need, from doctors and hospitals to train stations, banks, restaurants, and shops. It is conveniently located just 1 mile away from Hitler's birthplace and close to the birthplace of the Pope. The hotel also offers easy access to Salzburg, Munich, Linz, and other airports. With so many nearby attractions and the option to explore by train, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I could see in just 3 days. a positive experience with friendly and informative staff, excellent prices, and clean and comfortable rooms.
Would recommend this hotel.

The restaurant's low-caloric delights are a hidden gem, like finding a treasure chest full of healthy and delicious food options. The regional specialties served in the restaurant transported me to the heart of Germany, each bite a journey through its rich culinary traditions. The free WiFi provided in the guestrooms was a lifesaver, keeping me connected to the digital world even in a remote location. The activities in the surrounding area, such as cycling and hiking, were like a breath of fresh air, rejuvenating both the body and the mind. The local cuisine restaurant onsite was a true culinary adventure, unveiling the flavors and traditions unique to the region. The river by the hotel added an enchanting touch to the overall experience, calming and soothing like a gentle lullaby.
Off-premises room location.
